An artistic look at
Power.
As a historically and prehistorically
interested artist you give
permission to yourself to use non Popper analyze as well as
non Marxist or non Christian thinking when you look at the powers of the world
of today...
If you look at the Bush family
and its place in US politics you find a
pattern followed, that Darwinian philosophers of Power, point at as
"the survival of the fittest" - power is the way to stay alive
in the battle of life...
In Israel this battle is acute, and alarming signals that a nuclear war is
around the corner are perceived - the unthinkable.
As an artist you must think about it again.
Qikurx artists think about it in an obvious tradition of the artist at work in
troubled times.
Artists of the renaissance thought about the unthinkable and experimented
in that condition - offending the public opinion, scaring the
representatives of power with the actual truths of the time - ars longa
vitae brevis - in war or peace!
The history of modern man is short and since the days of Uruk and Aratta
full of wars.
Saddam Hussein called the Gulf War "the mother of all battles",
a somewhat shortsighted thought, but I understand what he
"feels" when he is expressing his thought - hate.
Feelings are expressed in art and the history of art transcends the boundary
(limes) between prehistory and history.
Go to the world politics in this artistic feeling and try to
"understand" the world, feel empathy with the people of
Afghanistan and with the people of Iraq ("an artificial state, made
up by the Britt's, from fragments of the Ottoman Empire, after the First
World War, contrary to Iran - the home of Old Persia, with an old
political structure able to bloom again under The Resa Palahvi
Dynasti..." - friends of the Bush family) you understand that the
suffering is unthinkable and barely possible to experience in
"subjectivity".
In an artistic mood it is possible to understand this and still be able to
work and act out (in artwork; writing, painting, installing or playing
music).
As a thinking and feeling artist trying to know a little about a lot -
more than a lot about little, Itīs possible to see familiarities through
history and through the world as media of today have it, with good and bad
reporting.
Johnnie Walker gets the Victoria Cross and Old England is back in business
of war.
The leaders of England, Germany and France meet pre-EU top summit and
understand the problem of terror.
In Northern Ireland the heat is up, in Tjetjenya, in the Land of the
Basks, in the Kurd areas, all over the ecological destroyed regions of
Soviet mischief's, the feeling of terror is burning.
"Peace in Our Times" - was it not the saying in Europe after the
fall of the Berlin Wall more than the saying of poor old Chamberlain?
To feel the feelings of the losers are difficult to stand for long, so in
the world of art, periods of losing are followed by periods of victory!
The Cyclic World of Vico, The Eternal Returning of Nietzsche, The Wheel of
Life of the religious arts, are the metaphors of this thinking - life and
death - qi and krux - east and west.
Is it possible, in advance, to feel the difference between dying in a nuclear
blast and dying in the strike of a meteorite and go to the holy act of
prevention?
The Bush
family, connected to the Oil
Power, has a huge responsibility now, when Itīs brilliance leaves the
Kennedys in the shadows.
