Presidents and literature - in focus all the
time.
Literature focusing presidents and presidents focusing on literature.
Is it the pen or the sword,
that changes the world?
Maybe it is both!?
The book "Wealth and Poverty" by
George Gilder, influenced Ronald Reagan, "An Autumn of War"
by Victor Davis seem to have impact on the Bush administration. "Supreme
Command" by Eliot A.Cohen was one of the favorites of George W
Bush before the Second Gulf War - in the book war is described as all too
important to be left to the generals. The Prince have to stay in
charge! "Of Paradise and Power" by Robert Kagan and "Clash
of Civilizations" by Samuel Huntington" are two other books influencing
the Bush Team - Cheney, Wolfowitz, Rumsfield, the brothers Bush, Rice...
In these latter books the citizens of EU is
said to live in the Kantian Paradise, weak and unwilling, while USA is the
potent aggressor of the Hobbean World.
USA is described as the unilateral world
dominator.
Member of the Sharon Government in Israel,
minister of Jerusalem affairs, Natan Sharansky, once prominent Russian
dissident, writes the book "The Case for Democracy" and George W
Bush states that it is part of his life philosophy.
As the Father of Texas,
Sam Huston (biography by Marquis James), George W Bush has overcome his
alcohol addiction and womanizing and is thus able to fully concentrate on
the work as world leader despite the end of History ("End of History"
by Francis Fukuyama).
Books are there instead of futile activities in
the Dionysian swamp of alcohol.
Wife and family instead of useless actions in the
Megapolis read districts.
Born again presidents seem to think and feel like
born again sinners of the North Americas and they might be ready for the
ultimate fight - the nuclear Armageddon.
People of the prairies prey to the One and Almighty
to give them eternal life in paradise, just like their counterpart - the
jihad avant-garde - do, but they prey to an other God.
And in Jerusalem the forces concentrate - the
temple of Herodes and Salomo is situated there, the upspring of religious
belief come from there. The most true believers in the world congregate
there.
In literature, both the presidents of today and yesterday,
are described in full detail and presidents might find future scenarios in
literature - like in the holy scripts.
The fulfillment of prophesies are like literature
in action - presidents and the pope, presidents and haute finance,
presidents and kings - they all are in literature.
The blueprints of the near future differ
radically - in some, your own world no longer even exists. Therefore it is
important to try to understand all the important texts to be able to
foresee the future of events.
There is the responsibility of both theology and
politics to come onboard the media ship - in a serious discussion;
is politics thus to important to let over to the politicians?
Is the modern Washington hesitating how to
proceed in the evolution of civilization?
What do the ruler of the world have to read to
stay alert and updated?
Good literature, and bad.
Just like you and me.
