In February 13, 1962 Stan Getz came
together with Charlie Bird, Gene Byrd, Keter Betts, Buddy Deppenschmidt
and Bill Reichenbach and recorded
"Jazz Samba".
The result was excellent and the music eternal.
Living music recorded in one single day and replayed half a generation
later in the refreshed sound of digital technology - in a time when
perfect sound has become a democratic right.
Music, though, as far from cheap and vulgar as any music ever can
come.
And this in spite of the fact that most people feel comfortable with it.
I feel like a nice and good guy when I play this record.
Thanks Stan Getz, in your heaven, for your brave sax - free from fear you
throw yourself into eternity, without braking any bones.
Earlier, in Februari 16, 1958 Stan Getz met Chet Baker and the two
"golden boys" made superstar music.
Wonderful to listen to the CD "Stan meets Chet" and brake lose
from mundane life.
