Books are the kids of the authors.
The shelves of the educated world contains a few good books - some for ever
young (some for ever old) and alive.
Then there are books - more dead than a stone in these shelves.
What´s the difference, one could ask.
The answer is life.
If you happen to read one of these books you change, you learn and you grow.
The living books are the creation of the very spirit of mankind.
Picture Art is the other side of this spirit, left as masterpieces, free in the wild
nature or inside human shelters.
To know about your identity you thus have to know about literature and art.
This is a problem for many busy scientistic experts and politicians (and thus for the world).
In lack of time many of them end up saying "I don't care about my personality",
working on and on.
(The Soviet foreign minister Gromyko, living through five shifts of
power
in Kremlin, always keeping his position, was once interviewed in Times Magazine.
"Minister Gromyko, who are you behind the mask?"
"My personality doesn´t interest me" was the prompt answer of the minister.)
